The former Editor of French Vogue and style muse to legions of industry insiders (including me) and Vogue coffee table readers will be launching a new magazine soon called CR Yes. Surprise! Those two little initials that appeared at the end of every French Vogue Editor’s letter for a decade will now grace the matte cover of her biannual fashion book.
Roitfeld described the magazine as a “celebration of fashion and creativity” she also told WWD “I’m in the middle of searching for new talents, and it’s so exciting and energizing,” she said. Fashion Media Group LLC, the New York-based company will publish CR Fashion Book. FMG LLC. Also publishes Vissionaire, V Magazine and VMan some of the most creative and intriguing regularly published fashion tomes on the market. Each issue will be created around a theme, no doubt as provocative and boundary pushing as the work that Rotifeld did at French Vogue.
I admit some of my friends don’t understand the draw that I have to this woman. Perhaps it’s her seemingly fearless decisions as an editor and stylist, or her own personal style with her smokey eyes and straight often windblown hair… or maybe even more importantly is the experience that shows in her face… no insane amount of injectables here but rather a women who is secure, comfortable and and radiates from within. And there is nothing more attractive that someone being comfortable with who they are.
