I already went to makeup school and have done several workshops, how can the Makeup Artist Masterclass Programs help me?

Makeup Artist Masterclass focuses on the practical areas of both business and artistry skills that you need to know in order to succeed and thrive in the industry. The goal is to help you make the transition from student or “testing” makeup artist to a working professional. This is the phase where most artists make costly mistakes like filling their book with bad test shoots, not being prepared with the right products in their kit, working with unprofessional crews or accepting jobs beyond their skill level. Each of these programs provide the knowledge, support and guidance to help you move beyond those pitfalls and earn a living doing what you love!

Will Makeup Artist Masterclass help me get jobs?

Makeup Artist Masterclass is not a placement service nor are we an agency but I will equip you with the knowledge, tools and sharpened skills to give you a competitive edge in the industry. And once you complete your program I will put you on our referral list for clients seeking assistants and artists. The bottom line for me is-I succeed when you succeed!

Will my coaching and mentoring classes be with Diane or someone else?

Diane will be your personal mentor and coach from start to finish. We only take a limited number of mentees each season so that we can provide you with individual and unparalleled attention.

If I am just starting and have never done makeup before which program is best for me?

Makeup Artist Masterclass is best suited for beginning and intermediate artists with some training and experience. MUAMC is not a makeup school but rather a coaching and mentoring program that gives aspiring artists an edge and furthers their skill level and business knowledge.

Is there a specific time when classes are scheduled?

Most people have busy hectic schedules so we are happy to find a time that works for both of us be it daytime, evenings or weekends.

What if my schedule changes during the course of the program or I have to cancel a session?

Though it’s always best to keep the momentum going and not interrupt your progress once we have started, there will be times when things come up and schedules change -most artists (including me) don’t have set schedules so we do our best to accommodate your needs and schedule at the best times for both parties involved.

What areas of the industry will the programs cover?

Makeup Artist Masterclass covers primarily print (editorial, fashion, catalog, advertising, lifestyle) video, commercial, TV, runway, red carpet and bridal makeup. In your first few sessions we will focus on choosing your areas of interest and setting your goals, from there we will tailor the sessions to your specific needs.

What if I don’t live in my mentors area?

Makeup Artist Masterclass programs have been designed to be conducted virtually by Skype and by phone without compromising the quality of the sessions or the benefit to you. You can experience the entire program and learn how to further your makeup career without ever leaving the comfort of your home!
